Consensable operates on a credit-based system. New accounts receive free credits to try the product, and these credits renew monthly at a small allowance.
For ongoing use, you can choose from various paid tiers. These tiers provide additional monthly credits, larger AI panels, longer output options, priority synthesis, and workspace features. Reading a shared result is always free.
The cost of an individual query is the sum of the provider AI charges for every model call involved in the synthesis, including the initial responses, the chair pass, and any dispute rounds. There is no markup on the AI itself; the credit system covers the multi-AI plumbing, workspace features, history, and sharing capabilities.
Factors that influence the cost of a specific query include the length of your question, the complexity of the topic, the number of dispute rounds (determined by your chosen preset), the size of the context window from live web searches, and the use of premium models.
